The Team
Pink jerseys, pink bats and a stadium draped in pink. Welcome to the scene at a
baseball game featuring The Cure Baseball's summer collegiate team. The Cure Baseball is a nonprofit
organization that raises support for people and families affected by cancer through baseball. Our
summer collegiate baseball team is comprised of college baseball players from around the country.
Every game we play will raise support for cancer awareness. The players on the team will be serious
college baseball players looking to further their baseball skill while also acting as national role models
for everyone associated with The Cure Baseball and all its supporters.
Our schedule will be made up of other summer collegiate teams from around the country, traveling to
every game in true "minor league" style, also known as a coach bus. The Cure Baseball's team plans
to be run much like a minor league baseball team. There will be a lot of traveling and staying in hotels
for the players and staff. Some of the players who play for The Cure Baseball will likely go on to play
professional baseball and play in the minor leagues. This experience allows players to get a feel for and a
better understanding of that lifestyle. Our team will travel with a head coach, pitching coach, hitting coach,
athletic trainer, strength and conditioning coach and a set of staff and interns for game operations and
marketing type activities.
